What We Do
The Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) is dedicated to funding research for rare pediatric cancer and providing support to children and families affected by this disease in honor of Isabella Santos, a courageous cancer warrior who lost her fight to neuroblastoma in 2012. Since 2007, ISF has been a beacon of hope, leading collaborative efforts with medical institutions. Today, ISF remains steadfast in its dedication to eradicating the devastating impact of rare pediatric cancer by expanding its efforts beyond its hometown through the TORCH Initiative.
Interesting Info
- Rare childhood cancer receives less than 4% of federal funding, leaving the responsibility of funding to private and smaller non profit organizations.
- To date, the Isabella Santos Foundation has raised over $14 million to help provide transformational care for pediatric cancer patients.
- There are over 15 rare pediatric cancers that receive little to no funding because their disease isn't "profitable" enough to make drugs for.
