The Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage (JKFFC) is dedicated to promoting healthy relationships among teens while stopping dating violence before it begins through prevention, education, awareness, and research initiatives.
The CDC states that nearly 1.5 million high school students experience physical abuse from a dating partner in a single year. One in 3 girls in the US is a victim of physical, emotional, or verbal abuse from a dating partner, a figure that far exceeds rates of other types of youth violence. Only 33% of teens who were in an abusive relationship ever told anyone about the abuse.81% of parents believe teen dating violence is not an issue or admit they don’t know it’s an issue.
Teenagers dare to create lasting change in our society. JKFFC's mission is to provide teens with the resources needed to have a future without interpersonal violence.
- High School Courage Clubs are teen-led groups created to promote a future without interpersonal violence through a lens of positivity and inclusivity.
- Healthy Relationship Educational Modules teach high school students to recognize and prevent abuse while developing positive and respectful relationships.
- Teens for Courage Summit is an annual event for high school students to engage in activities/presentations on healthy relationships and violence prevention.
