What We Do
Justice Ministries is committed to combating sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of women, with a focus on rescue & housing. Our mission is to locate victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation, help them get out of their situation and into a safe place, facilitate an environment conducive to healing, and assist them in their transition to independence. We serve victims through outreach, emergency services and transitional care. Our process consists of three R's: Reach Out, Relocate, Rise Up. We Reach Out to individuals at risk, Relocate those who want to get away, and help survivors Rise Up so they can recover and live safe, productive lives. The majority of our work takes place within the 50 mile radius of Charlotte, but we regularly respond to needs across both North Carolina and South Carolina.
- To date we have served over 350 clients and regularly partner with other agencies and law enforcement in the work we do.
- We are in the process of building of our first mobile safe house (tiny home on wheels)! As funding allows, we continue to be creative in meeting survivor needs.
- We serve on the Charlotte Metropolitan Human Trafficking Task Force and the Charlotte Human Trafficking Round Table & Leadership Committee.
