The Learning Collaborative

The Learning Collaborative is a comprehensive preschool program with hands-on involvement between teachers, students, families, patrons and the community. Providing transportation, hot meals, speech-language and literacy development, and intensive family support, we have a long and successful history of developing children who are ready and excited to learn upon entering kindergarten while coaching parents to participate in their child’s education as both teachers and advocate. Preparing young children for success in school is the mission of The Learning Collaborative. That success, in turn, helps them build the foundation for a productive and rewarding life. Our students come from fragile economic circumstances and unstable communities. Because of this, we embrace the entire family in a holistic and empowering way, working together with teachers and community partners toward a shared goal; success in life through education. TLC is a Five-Star program. We primarily serve families in Charlotte's Grier Heights community.
