Matthews Playhouse

Matthews Playhouse (MPH) is a community based non-profit theatre committed to enriching the lives of children, adults, and families by inviting them to participate in the world of performing arts and education. We commit to this mission by ensuring the excellence of our cultural programs for the participation and enjoyment of the people in our community. Located in Matthews, we are able to serve both Mecklenburg and Union County populations by providing education programming (theater classes and summer camps for youth) and public programming (theatre shows for children, families, and adults). As a community based theatre committed to excellence and top-quality productions, we invite children and adults to participate in the performing arts regardless of their background and experience level. We strive to create an environment where all may find a place to express their creativity through the performing arts.
