We help patients become educated on Myeloprolerative Neoplasms (a rare blood cancer), so they can advocate for their own best treatment option. We also provide resources for them to better understand their disease, while "uncovering" programs/benefits that are available to them as cancer patients. MPN Cancer Connection was featured in a Public Service Announcement (see video in our profile) that aired in select cities around the U.S. during September, blood cancer awareness month. With your help, we can get the word out locally and make this illness known to the public - so many patients go "untreated" until they have a stroke or blood clot because doctors don't know what symptoms to look for and patients need to have a routine blood test when they go for a physical.
- We help, on average, 60 patients per week by phone, email and social media. Thousands of patients are helped by resources provided on the websites.
- There are over 300,000 MPN patients in the U.S. We receive letters of appreciation on a daily basis thanking us for our help.
- To reach out and help more patients locally and create awareness of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms in the medical community.
