What We Do
We're all about helping at-risk families, children and youth. There are so many families in our community in need of a lift up and the Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation is here to help. We serve families by helping them to meet their basic needs such as healthy meals and job training for parents. We help children with school supplies and books. We help youth through our scholarship program to support vocational education at Central Piedmont Community College. Our efforts focus on helping families to find stability in their lives to empower them to be productive, engaged citizens of our community.
The Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation partners with local non-profits, such as Charlotte Rescue Mission/Dove's Nest, The Harvest Center of Charlotte, Pineville Neighbors Place, and Goodwill Industries, to fill identified gaps in service. Our newest signature program is Labor of Love, a Labor Day give-away to provide local families with food, gift certificates for gas and school supplies, books, and job assistance.
“Significant change begins in our individual communities and during these unprecedented times, it has never been more critical to lend a helping hand,” Muggsy Bogues, President of the Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation, states.
