What We Do
My Brother’s Keeper Charlotte-Mecklenburg (MBK-CLT MECK) is committed to improving outcomes for boys and young men of color by serving as the backbone organization of a collective impact effort. MBK-CLT MECK will work to support policies and organizations that address persistent opportunity gaps and help to ensure that all of Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s boys and young men of color have the opportunity to achieve. Collective Impact Approach: Collective Impact addresses six key areas: Guide Vision and Strategy, Support Aligned activities (programs), Established Shared Measurement Practices, Builds Public Will, Advancing Policy and Mobilizes Funding.
- MBKCLTMeck is the registered MBK Network of the Obama Foundation supported MBK Alliance.
- MBKCLTMeck is designed not to compete with programs but to elevate programming that proves impact.
- Founded by men of color to address the inequities of Boys of Color with a "root-cause analysis" approach and result based accountability structure.
