What We Do
NC MedAssist is a nonprofit pharmacy providing access to lifesaving prescription medications, patient support, advocacy, and related services to vulnerable and uninsured North Carolina residents. NC MedAssist seeks to ensure that no eligible person in North Carolina has to choose between purchasing food or their needed medication; improving the patient’s health and lowering uncompensated health care costs for all stakeholders. In North Carolina alone, over 1M residents are uninsured and nearly half may be eligible for our Free Pharmacy program. Last year, NC MedAssist dispensed over $70 million in medicines for our patients.
