What We Do

PanCAN was the first organization dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer in a comprehensive way. For more than two decades, we’ve grown a nationwide movement tackling the disease from all angles. We take bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, providing patient services and advocacy, sharing knowledge, and building community. PanCAN has earned 4 stars from Charity Navigator, for an amazing 18 consecutive years!

PanCAN Charlotte is powered by volunteers who want to make a difference. Our flagship event is PurpleStride Charlotte, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. We also offer presentations by medical and research experts, ongoing communications for keeping up to date with progress, and periodic meetings where everyone interested can connect. PanCAN Charlotte includes volunteers, patients, care givers, survivors, medical professionals, those who have lost someone to the disease, and anyone interested in learning more. Together, we #WageHope.
