What We Do
Promising Pages is The Charlotte Area Book Bank! Our mission is to collect new and donated books and share them with children living in the Charlotte Area Book Desert: those with few, if any, books at home. We work to create a culture of book sharing and ownership. Promising Pages envisions a world where all children have home libraries of self-selected books, can see themselves reflected in the books they read, and have made reading a joyful habit for a lifetime.

- We've shared over 1.5 MILLION books since 2011 and are hard at work on our second million!
- During the 2022-2023 school year we collected and distributed over 283,651 that were shared with more than 64,000 children.
- 25 By '25: We're working to provide a home library of 25 books to each household in the Charlotte-area book desert by 2025.
