What We Do
The Levine Senior Center is a non-profit that opened in March 2006. The Center is open to all people 50 years and older residing in Matthews, Mint Hill and the surrounding communities. The Levine Senior Center is a Certified Senior Center of Excellence with the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services. The Center thrives on empowering seniors to celebrate living by developing new relationships through fellowship, enhancing their knowledge through stimulating activities and believing in the concepts of boundless aging. The Levine Senior Center serves about 800 people per week through a variety of classes, land and water aerobics, creative arts, educational programs, health and wellness seminars and workshops and social activities. We offer 74 classes and activities weekly, not including seminars, series workshops & fairs. Our Motto, Live Now, Age Later… Celebrate Life reflects the commitment of the Center to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Our Center relies heavily on private donations from individuals and businesses from our community to cover its daily cost of services and programs.
