The Shepherd's Center of Charlotte
What We Do
The Shepherd’s Center of Charlotte (SCC) is a nonprofit organization that originated in 1978 in response to a need to redefine and restructure the way aging is approached. Located in and serving member of Mecklenburg County, Shepherd's Charlotte continues to offer a variety of programs and services, ranging from social activities to transportation to Medicare consulting.
Volunteers are integral to our organization; they drive seniors to their medical appointments, counsel seniors on their Medicare options and drug plan choices, assist with tax filings each February - April, and teach classes on a variety of topics.
