What We Do

The mission of the Urban League of Central Carolinas (ULCC) is to equip African Americans and all underserved communities with tools to achieve social and economic equality. Through the CareerBridge program, ULCC offers skilled trades training that can lead to national certifications that include: HVAC, Medical Coding, Microsoft Office and Duke CAST. All program participants will receive life/soft skills and financial literacy resources. Today, the ULCC equips students and clients with the core skills needed for high-demand careers that are proven to sustain upward mobility. Through generous and committed community members and leaders, the Urban League is committed to providing students and clients with real-world training opportunities so that they are prepared to excel in their preferred career paths.

65% of participants who complete training will be placed in employment within 6 months.
