The Women's Impact Fund strengthens communities by maximizing women’s leadership in philanthropy through collective giving, education, and engagement. Members make an annual donation of $1,300 or $600 per year to participate in our collective grant-making, educational events, and member networking opportunities. (Our $600 level is intended for new members for whom an annual gift of $1,300 is inaccessible. All members can vote on grants and participate in leadership. All members have the chance to vote on grants, join more than 120 women on a board committee, and attend events with other women interested in improving their community.
Women's Impact Fund is part of a powerful philanthropic movement known as collective giving. The concept is simple and powerful -- leverage your charitable dollars and join us in making high-impact grants in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. The Women's Impact Fund is proof that when women unite, incredible things happen.
There is no invitation required for membership. We welcome all women who are interested in learning more about social issues in Charlotte and getting to know other philanthropically-inclined women!
- Since 2003, Women’s Impact Fund has invested more than $8.1 million in more than 100 grants to nonprofit organizations across Mecklenburg County.
- Grants typically range from $20,000 to $100,000.
- At least five grants are made each year in each of our grant areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Health, and Human Services.
