What We Do

Channel your curiosity with PBS Charlotte. We serve 13 counties across the Carolinas by offering programs that educate, inspire and entertain viewers everyday.

In addition to airing award-winning national PBS programs like MASTERPIECE, NOVA and Antiques Roadshow, we produce a number of local programs including Carolina Impact, Trail of History, Off The Record, Carolina Business Review, Charlotte Cooks, and International Success.

Our Raising Reader’s on-site school readiness and literacy workshops impact more than 6,500 preschoolers each year.

PBS Charlotte also produces documentaries and other special programs like the Blumey Awards which recognizes achievement in musical theater among high school students across our region.

In an effort to assist with the upward mobility crisis, PBS Charlotte launched the 3D Project in September. We are working with five area high schools over the next four years to teach soft skills necessary for student success in the workplace. Watch our videos below to learn more.
