American Cancer Society

A successful American Cancer Society Distinguished Event requires corporate and socially connected volunteers at the helm. A strong, committed volunteer leadership enables our signature Charlotte event to achieve its financial goals while positioning Taste of Hope Charlotte as a premier must-attend gala in the Charlotte market.  This volunteer leadership Board will help the American Cancer Society achieve our vision of ending cancer as we know it, for everyone thru monthly meetings, approximately one hour, and a focus on one of the below areas.  

• Sponsorship: Solicit corporate event sponsorship through a ‘give or get’ of at least $5,000 to achieve an overall goal of $350,000 in corporate funds and grow relationships between the American Cancer Society and its corporate supporters.
• Mission: Identify individual donors for 100% tax-deductible gifts pre-event for the mission paddle raise and make your personal contribution to the Mission Paddle Raise during night of the gala.
• Auction: Solicit a diverse array of auction items, to achieve a goal of $50,000
• Social Media and/or Publicity: Work on overall communication and event branding strategy through own network and social media channels.
• Ticket/Table Sales: Develop and implement strategies to promote the event and increase table sales, with a goal of 400+ attendees.
