Work on the Board of Directors. The ideal secretary has a passion for our mission and wants to support women in need, is organized, detail-oriented, has good follow through and is interested in supporting a nonprofit. The Secretary is responsible for recording detailed minutes, emailing them to the other board members, keeping record of important documents, setting up calendar invites, sending out correspondence to the Board, working closely with the Board President and Executive Director and maintaining membership lists. You will become somewhat of our “board expert” on key governing and operating processes to help us maintain compliance.
