Center 360

Center 360, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering disengaged middle school students through transformative after-school programs, is seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer Board Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. 

Prior non-profit Board and/or Treasurer experience is preferred but not required.  

Role Overview
As the Treasurer, you will oversee the financial health and accountability of Center 360, working closely with the Executive Director and Board to ensure strong financial stewardship. Your expertise will help us sustain and grow our programs, allowing us to expand our impact on the students and communities we serve. Must be willing to commit to a 2-year term, attend bi-monthly board meetings, assist with fundraising, and support the Executive Director with budgeting and financials.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and present financial reports, budgets, and statements at board meetings.
• Monitor the organization’s financial health and advise on best practices for maintaining fiscal sustainability.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and bookkeeper to prepare annual budgets and financial projections.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and assist with audits or tax filings as needed.
• Oversee financial policies, internal controls, and risk management strategies.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support fundraising strategies and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Background in finance, accounting, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial management and reporting is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate financial information clearly.
• Passion for Center 360’s mission and commitment to youth empowerment.
• Willingness to attend bi-monthly board meetings and dedicate time to financial oversight (approx. 4-6 hours/month).
