Our 7th Annual Tool Rush sale is coming on SAT, Dec. 3, from 7-11am. 

Below are job descriptions for the day-of volunteer opportunities. We also have opportunities both weeks preceding and following Tool Rush.

VOLUNTEERS REQUESTED:

GREETER -- welcome shoppers, provide shopping guides to shoppers, answer questions, direct shoppers to various stations within the building, take initiative to better serve customers as appropriate, track #s of people entering building (with a tally counter), ask exit survey questions, smile and encourage shoppers to enjoy their time at Charlotte ToolBank.

PARKING HELPER -- work with a volunteer partner to direct customers to available parking lots, where to enter Tool Rush, where to park for retrieving purchased items, smile and assist customers in having delightful experiences.

CUSTOMER CONCIERGE / TOOL GURU -- -assist shoppers with questions, "front" displays, restock inventory to displays as available, ask “interview” (survey?) questions to customers, smile and help shoppers enjoy their experiences.

CASHIER/CALLER -- manage customer check-out process and flow, assist with placing items on "HOLD" table, collect payments (cash, debit/credit card) on Square (merchant app), smile and thank the customers for supporting the mission of Charlotte ToolBank supporting other community organizations.

SANTA'S CREW -- assist "Santa" and customers with holiday photo taking.

LOADER -- assist customers with storing selected items prior to check-out, retrieve/deliver stored items to cashier/shopper, assist shoppers in loading purchased items, smile and assist customers in their enjoyable experiences.

FLIPPER (afternoon shift) -- assist with clean-up of building and parking lot, break down and pack cardboard boxes, help gather trash, clean surfaces, smile and share success stories and "lessons learned" with co-volunteers.
