Role: Cultivate and Matchmaking
Type: Volunteer
Timeframe: Approx. 3-5 hours a month. Due to the resources required to bring volunteers on and the nature of this mission, Brave Step requests volunteers aspire to commit for one year.
Mission: Brave Step empowers individuals who have been impacted by sexual violence. To shape a strong, supportive community, we provide personalized services that help adults impacted by sexual violence claim the life they deserve; foster brave public conversations about sexual violence; and cultivate courageous changemakers.
Opportunity: Brave Step is seeking a passionate volunteer with a friendly personality to magnify Brave Step’s mission. The Cultivate and Matchmaking Volunteer will work to welcome new volunteers and help them find their best volunteer fit! The Cultivate and Matchmaking volunteer will work collaboratively with the Volunteer Committee to increase Brave Step’s volunteer network and maximize volunteers’ skillset.
Responsibilities:
- Complete one-on-one calls with interested volunteers to discuss areas of need and explore where the volunteer would like to support the mission
- Onboards and welcomes new volunteers
- Discover the skills and strengths of new volunteers
- Match volunteers with volunteer opportunities based on their interests and skillsets
- Is responsive and a good communicator
Required Qualifications & Competencies:
- Has the ability to engage and inspire others
- Excellenter personal skills
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
