Join us on Sunday mornings during August and September on the calm waters of the Catawba River!
Doing what?
Being eyes for our open water swimmers in the form of deck watchers, kayakers, and SUP'ers.
Kayak and equipment are provided, although you are free to bring your own. Must be 18 years and older. Bring drinking water and wear sun protection.
We meet at 7:45 a.m. on Sundays at Riverside Marina, 1500 Riverside Dr, Belmont, NC, to meet the swimmers and discuss the daily goals.
Then, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., we're in the water, monitoring and encouraging the swimmers to swim their best.
