Funding Officer: Aa a non-profit organization our ability to hire staff and do good heavily relies on the organizations ability to secure funding. The funding officer is vital to the work and existence of the agency. Responsibilities: Attends and participates in board meetings Advocates for the organization’s mission Monitors and assesses agency fund raising and sponsorship efforts. ensure donation sources do not cause a conflict of interest or detract from the organization’s mission develop strategies to ensure the agency has adequate resources to meet its purposes structure policy and guidelines for fundraising efforts Participates on committees focused on fundraising and grant writing. Remain updated on professional knowledge and best practices of grant writing. Communicate all significant observations to the board of directors. Requirements: Proven fundraising or grant writing experience Ability to work with a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills
