The Relay For Life of Charlotte Committee is a community-based volunteer leadership group that works to help fulfill the mission of the American Cancer Society by planning our Relay For Life event, increasing fundraising, serving people facing cancer in the Charlotte area of North Carolina and promoting cancer prevention and early detection guidelines.
Our committee members serve as ambassadors for the American Cancer Society in their communities by facilitating collaborations with key corporate partners, health systems, advocacy leaders, and other community stakeholders who can help get us one step closer to a world without cancer.
Some requirements of the committee are:
Interest in the priorities and mission of the American Cancer Society
Community-minded
Willing to invest time in the American Cancer Society's mission and objectives
Willing to abide by American Cancer Society's policies and procedures
Solutions-oriented
Attend monthly committee meetings
Help plan and execute the Relay For Life event
Attend and work on the day of the event
