Learning Help Centers of Charlotte (LHCC)

Our volunteers are paired with a child from Kindergarten-7th grade to tutor and mentor each week with reading, and elementary math homework. You will build a relationship with them, help them with their homework and study skills and read books to improve literacy and fluency with reading. The goal is to be with the same student each week, but this may change based on attendance. Tutoring is every Tuesday evening from 5:45-6:45 at St. Andrews Methodist Church; 1901 Archdale Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. This volunteer opportunity is open to high school and college students, and adults. This volunteer opportunity is paused during the summer and will resume in late August, 2022 when the school year begins again.
