This opportunity has passed.
As children and caregivers navigate a messy child welfare system, our volunteers help bridge gaps and remind families that they are not alone through the ups and downs of foster care.
Volunteers put the “Village” in Foster Village, and we’d love to help you find your fit in this village of support. Whether you’re interested in making doorstep deliveries to caregivers welcoming children at a moment’s notice, or you’d love to provide childcare for our much-beloved monthly caregiver support gatherings, you’ll be supporting families in practical ways that make a tangible difference in their foster care journey.
Prospective volunteers must attend a foster care sensitivity training, clear FVC’s background check, and take additional childcare training if they desire to work directly with children as a part of the Childcare and Events Volunteer team. Please note that volunteers must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
FVC's next Volunteer Training will be in-person on Wednesday, July 17th at 6:30 PM, where we will provide a trauma-informed approach to working directly alongside children and families in care. Register here to attend.
