Brave Step

In 2020, Brave Step will launch a new program to steer its future in a new direction. While our clinical programs are fundamentally important to Brave Step’s impact, what we found after speaking with countless survivors, loved ones and community members is this: an actionable plan to combat this pervasive issue is needed. By harnessing the passion and courage of survivors, loved ones and the community, Brave Step will foster the skills, understanding and strength to bring change to this pervasive issue. Time: Depending on one’s interest, a one-time thirty-minute contribution to 1 hour a month to several hours a month are of value. We have tasks for every time frame. Skills and Abilities Needed: This is not an exhaustive list, and it is our desire to find a role for everyone interested. • Community outreach • Content and information gathering • Event planning • Human resources • IT • Marketing and Communications • Project management • Program creation • Public Relations • Research • Web management • Writing • Volunteer recruitment Brave Step is approaching this new program with a co-creation mindset; meaning we are creating micro-tasks to allow for volunteers to “own” and deliver program elements.
