VoteRiders

Volunteer Opportunity:
Voter ID Assistance Volunteer (in-person or virtual)
I'm Interested!

VoteRiders is seeking volunteers who are passionate about democracy and voting to provide in-person and/or virtual assistance to people in need of ID in the Charlotte area. VoteRiders will provide training and support for volunteers on the North Carolina state ID/DL rules, how to identify each voter’s document needs and how to acquire the necessary documents. Ideally the volunteer will be able to volunteer, either in-person or virtually, with a Charlotte-area partner organization to help people get ID. Average time commitment is 2+ hours/week, although some partners may only need ID support every other week. Volunteers typically work in pairs when providing in-person ID support. The day/time listed is one existing in-person opportunity, but we have other options available. Virtual volunteers work on their own schedule, subject to the needs of the partner organization, which vary. All expenses are covered by VoteRiders.
