SummerSHARE- Bank of America Sponsors GOOD Again This Summer
Bank of America Gives GOOD Again This Summer!
Bank of America may be a multinational company, but with its headquarters located right here in Charlotte, they have time and time again shown our community an incredible interest in elevating and supporting local GOOD.
This year, Bank of America returns as the presenting sponsor for SummerSHARE and we are thankful for their generosity and commitment to SHARE Charlotte’s efforts to unite our city through this annual community wide giving campaign.
Summer is the biggest time of need for many Charlotte nonprofits, and unlike some giving campaigns that encourage the more traditional donation of money or volunteer time, SummerSHARE is focused on the gift of tangible items that local nonprofits need most.
Many nonprofits struggle to obtain funding for basic day-to-day operational needs such as office supplies, while others are in need of items to support their programs like bed sheets for shelters or swimsuits for campers.
When asked about Bank of America’s involvement in SummerSHARE and the importance of their role in sponsoring this campaign, Charles Bowman, Bank of America Market President for Charlotte and North Carolina, said “Nonprofits across Charlotte are working year-round to support the needs of our community. SummerSHARE is a unique way to support them when they need it most.”
Bank of America makes a habit of generosity. Since 2010, Bank of America has averaged over $11 million to approximately 100 community partners each year. Additionally, their employees volunteer an average of 200,000 hours annually.
