What We Do
Arts For Life is dedicated to supporting pediatric patients and their families. By providing educational art programs, we enrich patients’ lives, nurture their minds and spirits, and encourage positive healthcare experiences for children and their families.
We bring dynamic, engaging arts programming to young patients and families at Levine Children's Hospital. Our creative arts programs decrease patient stress and anxiety, keep patients active and engaged, and help families cope with the realities of illness.
Interesting Info
- Arts For Life is largely volunteer-run; our staff members in Charlotte support a whole team of volunteers and interns who bring art to kids in the hospital.
- Arts For Life has been partnering with Levine Children's Hospital since 2015, but we've been bringing the arts to pediatric patients across NC since 2001.
- A formal art background is not required to be an Arts For Life volunteer! What you do need is a creative, caring, playful spirit willing to engage with kids.
