What We Do
The Bulb is a donation-based nonprofit serving Charlotte and its surrounding area through mobile farmer’s markets that pop-up in vulnerable communities around the city. Operating under the motto, “take what you need, give what you can,” our goal is minimize barriers, including lack of transportation, physical disability, unreliable income, etc., so that all people have access to fresh and healthful food options. Together with local farmers, grocery stores and community partners, we are creating a world where quality food is a right and not a privilege. For our most up-to-date market schedule, visit https://www.thebulbgallery.org/main-st, and be sure to check us out on social media (Facebook and Instagram). COVID-19 RESPONSE: The health and safety of our guests, volunteers and employees remains the top priority for our organization. All staff and volunteers are required to wear a mask when interacting with market guests, and market guests are encouraged (but not required) to wear a mask while shopping at our markets. We do ask that only The Bulb staff and volunteers touch the produce since we are wearing gloves to help mitigate the risk of contamination between guests. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to us on-site. Your patience is appreciated!!
