What We Do
The Bulb is a donation-based nonprofit serving Charlotte and its surrounding area through mobile farmer’s markets that pop-up in vulnerable communities around the city.
Operating under the motto, “take what you need, give what you can,” our goal is minimize barriers, including lack of transportation, physical disability, unreliable income, etc., so that all people have access to fresh and healthful food options.
Together with local farmers, grocery stores and community partners, we are creating a world where quality food is a right and not a privilege.
For our most up-to-date market schedule, visit https://www.thebulbgallery.org/main-st, and be sure to check us out on social media (Facebook and Instagram).
COVID-19 RESPONSE:
The health and safety of our guests, volunteers and employees remains the top priority for our organization. Per Gov. Cooper's recent order, we ask that all guests wear a mask, as well as mandate mask wearing for all employees and volunteers. If you do not have access to a mask, please let us know and we will get you one.
In addition to masks, social distancing is important in keeping everyone healthy and safe. Please keep space between you and other guests, and wait to approach the table until a Bulb staff member or volunteer can safely assist you in bagging the fruit and vegetables. We do ask that only The Bulb staff and volunteers touch the produce since we are wearing gloves to help mitigate the risk of contamination between guests.
For any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at info@thebulbgallery.org or speak to us on-site. Your patience is appreciated – we do this because we love you!!
