The Charlotte Gaymers Network (CGN) is a community-driven organization committed to promoting inclusivity, education, and equity through gaming and technology. Our services and activities center around addressing the unique needs of marginalized populations, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and underserved communities, by fostering access to technology, education, and social connection. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and vibrant space for LGBTQ+ gaymers. We strive to foster a supportive community that celebrates diversity, empowers individuals, and promotes positive gaming experiences. Through engaging events, educational initiatives, and advocacy efforts, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and build a more inclusive gaming landscape. We are committed to creating opportunities for connection, personal growth, and social impact, while advocating for equal representation and respect within the gaming industry. Together, we envision a world where every LGBTQ+ gaymer feels welcomed, accepted, and empowered to fully embrace their passion for gaming.
- Project Blue Shell was a signature project of our organization in which we partnered with Ridge Road Middle School to gamify children's learning.
- Project Saturn is an 8 week free STEM bootcamp for high school students who are Title 1 or who have proximity to the criminal justice system
- Project Paperclip is a digital equity program in which we distribute hundreds of laptops and internet hotspots to low income LGBTQ people.
