Tech Rising Summit
Today is the 3rd Annual Tech Rising Summit being held at the AvidXchange headquarters. Over the past 2 years this summit has brought together over 250 attendees and provided over $68K in seed funding to local nonprofits for grants that test out innovative new programs to foster digital inclusion.
We spoke about financial success with Common Wealth Charlotte (CWC), a nonprofit providing no-cost financial literacy services.
Our planet is an amazing place and we need to help it thrive. Each year on April 22nd, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to take action to help protect our planet from pollution, plant trees or clean up rivers.
Here locally there are many nonprofits who are working tirelessly to help protect our community and create a sustainable future for Charlotte.
Here is a list of Earth Day events (events can be on Earth Day or around Earth Day)
“A community unaware of the problem will not be a part of the solution. Let’s change that together.” - Present Age Ministries
Each month, SHARE offers a #SpotlightOnCLT series highlighting important causes, showcasing the local nonprofits who are doing the good work for the cause, and sharing how you can get involved. This month, we’re highlighting Human Trafficking. It’s a difficult subject, but one we think you’ll want to hear about, especially what is happening right here in our neighborhoods.
Albemarle Foundation Grows the Good by Supporting Local Nonprofit Leaders
Leading a nonprofit organization is not an easy job. It can be lonely work trying to fulfill your organization’s mission, fundraise, manage a board, and keep momentum going. Access to professional development resources that provide opportunities to learn, to network with other nonprofit leaders, and to meet local funders can be hard to find.
Let’s get to work, Charlotte!
What does it mean to be part of workforce development for yourself or for our collective community as a whole?
Lowe’s Hometowns helping local nonprofits
Over the last 100 years, Lowe’s has grown from a small-town hardware store in North Carolina to one of the largest home improvement retailers in the world. We are fortunate that Lowe’s calls the Charlotte region home for their headquarters.
We have so much great news to share from our nonprofit partners about their amazing work. But, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know if you have stories you'd like to tell and we'll make you a guest blogger!!
