2025 MLK Day of Service: Event and Volunteer Opportunities
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in the power of community and service to create lasting change. SHARE Charlotte invites you to honor his legacy by giving back to our city at events scheduled on January 20 and the surrounding days. Let’s come together to make this MLK Day a powerful moment of service, connection, and impact!
Here are some opportunities to get involved this year with our nonprofit partners:
United Way of Greater Charlotte: MLK Call to Service
On Saturday, January 18, there are two opportunities available to pack supply kits that meet the needs of local grassroots nonprofits, Title I schools and residents in neighborhoods engaged with United Way's United Neighborhoods program. You may choose the time and location that works best for your schedule, with two amazing nonprofit partners hosting at their respective locations: Renaissance West Community Initiative and Life Project.

It is grounded by the immense opportunity created through affordable housing for families historically left out of America’s dream of prosperity. From January 20-25, there will be volunteer opportunities at Habitat's 7 ReStores as well as building projects around the region.
