3 Great Reasons to Volunteer for a 5K
The ice outside may not show it, but the calendar says warmer weather is on its way. That means 5K races are in the works. Here are 3 good reasons to lace up to participate - as a volunteer.
- It gives you something to look forward to. Put a big "X" on your calendar to remind yourself that spring really will be here soon.
- You can support a friend or family member who is running by being there and helping out with the event.
- It won't happen without you. Fundraising races rely heavily on volunteers to run (get the pun?) smoothly. One short shift of handing out water or pinning on numbers makes a much bigger difference than you realize.
