We created SHARE SHINE™ which stands for SHAREholders In Nonprofit Empowerment. SHARE SHINE ™ provides year-round affordable programming to help leaders develop the skills to create impactful nonprofit organizations.
A key pillar of SHINE is our Professional Development Workshops presented by the Aprio Foundation which is the philanthropic arm of top CPA and business advisory firm, Aprio. The workshop series provides eight workshops ranging in topics that nonprofit leaders need to be successful such as accounting, marketing, board development and corporate partnerships.
For our Corporate Partnerships Workshop, we had a packed house of nonprofits who came out to hear Michele Blondheim, Executive Director of the Aprio Foundation and Director, Corporate Social Responsibility. Michele has the unique perspective of having both served as a nonprofit leader as well as a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) leader for the past 20 years.
Michele’s workshop highlighted the evolving role of CSR, as society faces complex challenges, companies are expected to play a more active and responsible role in addressing these issues and contributing to a sustainable future.
Nonprofit organizations can be a critical partner and piece of a corporation's CSR strategy and leaders need to understand the best ways to maximize these partnerships.
