Monday, July 13th


Pinky Swear Foundation supports families caught in the tragic reality of their child's cancer diagnosis and treatment and one way that they do this is through a free food pantry for families in the pediatric oncology unit at Levine Children's Hospital. Compassion to Act a faith-based ministry that rescues exploited women and provides them with the resources and relationships to succeed after trauma. Friendship Trays delivers balanced meals daily to individuals in the community who are unable to obtain to prepare their own meals due to age or infirmity. Help keep them in full supply of the products they need. Shop their Amazon wish list here!

Feeding Charlotte collects fresh, unserved, surplus meals from restaurants, caterers and institutions and delivers the meals to local nonprofits who feed the hungry. Throughout the pandemic, they have adapted their services and are packing and distributing to-go containers of food and snacks to the hungry. Tuesday, July 14th

Hugaroo’s mission is to provide new stuffed animals to children who have been admitted to the hospital with a diagnosis of cancer, or have suffered a life-threatening illness, or other traumatic condition. Our friends at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy pursue justice for those in need. One of their most needed items? Kid's coloring books. Why? Law offices can be intimidating for children. Girl Scouts- Hornets' Nest Council provides an accepting and nurturing environment where young girls build character and skills for success in the real world. Wednesday, July 15th

Local nonprofit City Startup Labs, Inc. develops entrepreneurial talent and capacity through their programming. When you purchase the items they need from their Amazon wish list, you are helping to further the entrepreneurial education of formerly incarcerated persons and African American millennials with your contribution. Talented Girls in Action (TGIA) is an after-school program that empowers girls to invest in their futures. TGIA serves girls between the ages of 12 and 18 that come from underprivileged communities through individualized tutoring, a character development curriculum and a mentorship program. Make An Impact Foundation promotes the education and well-being of children and identifies children in severe need as well as those with learning needs, emotional needs, disabilities or disease, and create opportunities to produce change in their lives. Autism After 18 was created to help young adults with autism progress toward independent lives, by giving them opportunities to interact in the community on a social, professional and educational level. Through no fault of their own, every day hundreds of single women are forced into homelessness in Charlotte. Local nonprofit Project New Heights seeks to enhance the quality of life for underserved, at-risk youth through educational advocacy, support and dropout prevention services.
