“Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering ‘it will be happier’…” – Alfred Tennyson
Losing a child is an unimaginable loss. Unimaginable, that is, unless you’ve experienced it. For those who have, KinderMourn is there. For over 35 years KinderMourn has served as a safe haven for bereaved parents and grieving children seeking support, comfort and hope after a tragic loss.
You read that correctly – hope. There can be hope, and joy. KinderMourn helps these families find their way back to both.
On April 27th this amazing organization will hold the 10th Annual Hope Floats Duck Race at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. You’ll find the day filled with prizes, live music, children’s activities and more. But in the middle of the fun and festivities, look around. We think what you’ll also see there that day…is hope.
Want to do more than just attend? It takes over 100 volunteers during the month of April to pull off this exciting event. Help spread the word, prep the ducks, and work in the office. Interested? Get “quacking” and volunteer. Find details at SHARE Charlotte.
