Party for "Good" with The Sandbox

The Sandbox locks arms with the Charlotte community and walks with families who have a child who has been diagnosed with cancer or life-altering illness. Through a wide range of offerings and service, The Sandbox meets day-to-day needs and offers support both emotionally and financially to families during the most tumultuous times of their lives. Some of its programs include financial assistance throughout the year and during the holidays; Love Baskets - filled with non-perishable food items, household supplies, and personal items - delivered directly to local families facing cancer or a life altering diagnosis of their child; and special events in the community.
One of its signature events is the annual An Evening of Believing℠ Prom in September, a special night out for children facing cancer and their families.
On Thursday, June 11, The Sandbox will hold a Kick-Off Party at Johnson Mansion to celebrate the beginning of preparations for the big event this fall. Tickets are $20 in advance, and the financial support helps sponsor families to attend this special night in September. You’ll enjoy great food, entertainment, prizes, and a silent auction – all in the company of fellow supporters and friends of The Sandbox.
At the event, you’ll also meet the 2015 Youth Mentor class, some of Charlotte’s brightest and most caring students, who will walk with our families through the year. You’ll also meet some of the families whose lives are impacted by The Sandbox.
