Recap: Nonprofit Board Match Event
Serving on a board of a nonprofit organization is the ultimate volunteer experience, but how do you find nonprofits that need board members?
On January 23, we held Charlotte's first Nonprofit Board Match Event, hosted by LendingTree, to give community members an overview of what board service looks like and help match nonprofit leaders with potential board members. π§©
For the event, SHARE Charlotte welcomed 20 nonprofit leaders who recently completed a year-long professional development course on Board Development and Engagement, led by Anne Marie Forbes. This course is part of our SHARE SHINEβ’ programming, the professional development hub at SHARE Charlotte. SHARE SHINE offers nonprofit leaders regular opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, access resources, and build social capital.
In attendance were close to 80 community members and professionals interested in nonprofit board service and the benefits of service, which include:
- Gain leadership experience
