SHARE-a-Latte...more than just coffee!
SHARE-a-Latte, more than just a coffee!
Networking coffees…we’ve all been to them, but when they provide the opportunity to hear from one of the largest corporate funders in Charlotte, they become more than just a networking event.
SHARE Charlotte is building a better Charlotte by empowering nonprofits and helping people invest in their communities - in ways that matter most to them.
We understand that when you are leading a nonprofit, there aren’t many opportunities to find your tribe, connect with funders, and collaborate with your peers so that you can be a more impactful nonprofit leader.
SHARE Charlotte’s goal is to empower our nonprofit leaders through a program called SHARE SHINE™️ which stands for SHAREholders In Nonprofit Empowerment. We offer year-round, affordable programming to provide networking and professional development opportunities.
A key component of SHARE SHINE™️ is our monthly networking coffee we call SHARE-a-Latte. SHARE-a-Latte brings together corporate funders and influential Charlotteans to meet and share information and resources with nonprofit leaders.
Recently, we hosted Bank of America to share their funding priorities and insights, and to connect with nonprofit leaders. Keva Womble, Senior Vice President of Bank of America's Community Relations Team and Holland Dunn, Philanthropic Strategist for Bank of America, provided incredible insights about local and national philanthropy trends.
Attendees were treated to this dynamic discussion at The Ada Jenkins Center's newly renovated gymnasium.
How do these events help our Nonprofit Leaders?
Nonprofit leaders who attended were able to hear about:
- "Other resources that Bank of America has available to nonprofit organizations beyond than traditional grants"
- "More information about philanthropic opportunities than they knew before"
Plus, they were able to connect with over 100 of their nonprofit peers!
