U.S. Bank is Supporting Charlotte's Next Generation of Philanthropists

For the fifth consecutive year, U.S. Bank is proud to sponsor the SHARE Charlotte #YPMixerCLT. This annual gathering brings together young professionals and Charlotte nonprofits, allowing the next generation of philanthropists to network with each other and the organizations that make Charlotte a better place to live, work, and play.

U.S. Bank shares a similar outlook as it relates to making our communities the very best they can be. The bank has a growing presence in Charlotte and has never been stronger in the 15+ years we have been in the market. We have six total branches in the greater Charlotte area and over 1,200 employees across various business lines, with plans to continue that growth. Over the past year we have expanded significantly, opening three new branches – the SouthPark branch in January of 2023, Huntersville branch in August of 2023, and Charlotte University branch last September.

Beyond the physical locations, we continue to invest in the community and business lines, bolstering our small business banking and wealth teams.

“U.S. Bank is proud of our commitment to Charlotte and its many communities,” said John Smith, U.S. Bank district manager in Charlotte. “Being able to support SHARE Charlotte and the #YPMixerCLT is just one of several ways for us to support the thousands of young professionals and nonprofits in the area. We are dedicated to serving our communities.”

U.S. Bank has long been committed to supporting the Charlotte community. Over the past three years (2021-2023), we’ve contributed nearly $3 million in U.S. Bank Foundation and corporate giving in the Charlotte area, and U.S. Bank employees have volunteered nearly 6,900 hours at Charlotte nonprofits.

Three years ago, U.S. Bank launched U.S. Bank Access Commitment™, its long-term approach to help close the wealth gap for underserved communities, including communities of color.

One of the initiatives under U.S. Bank Access Commitment™ is U.S. Bank Access Business. Charlotte is one of nine cities where the bank has hired a Business Access Advisor who provides information, connections and resources to help small business owners sustain or grow their business. BAAs serve as trusted advisors, expanding networking and business development opportunities in the community.
