Volunteering for Crazy Busy People: Pop-Up Book Sale

Volunteering can happen even when you’re crazy busy! Check out this quick opportunity to do good:

Nonprofit: Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation

When: June 27th

Where: Mountain Island Library, 4420 Hoyt Galvin Way, 28214

Who: Great for individuals or small groups (age 18 and up)

Why: The Library Foundation exists to help the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library create a community where reading, learning, and imagination thrive.

What you’ll do:

- Around 9:30 a.m. meet at the sale site to help council members set up tables, unload books, and display the books in their proper categories.

- At the end of the sale, around 2:00 p.m., break down the tables and load the unsold books back into boxes.

- Volunteers must be able to lift 20+ pound boxes of books.

- Work either shift (or both, if you like).
