Welcome to the team, Jean! SHARE Charlotte's Summer Intern
SHARE Charlotte Welcomes Summer Intern, Jean Thor
At SHARE Charlotte, we host summer interns each year. They are an integral part of our organization and they bring such enthusiasm and energy to their role! We love hearing how our interns get so excited to learn about all of the many nonprofit organizations in the city, how SHARE Charlotte connects them, and how to get involved.
Meet Jean Thor, this year's summer intern! We are excited to see what the future has in store for her! Welcome, Jean! Look for her on social media or at upcoming nonprofit events!
Hello from Jean: 👋🏻 ⤵️
"I am a Communications student at UNC Charlotte, concentrating in Public Relations, and plan to graduate in Spring 2025. My love for writing and storytelling, combined with my passion for fashion, draws me to fashion PR. I'm actively involved in the Hmong Student Association, promoting cultural awareness, and Kappa Phi Lambda, an Asian-interest sorority focused on service, academics, and cultural awareness.
Born and raised in North Carolina, I've lived in various cities and always enjoyed creative hobbies like designing outfits. Clothing has been my way of self-expression, especially as a shy child. Now, I enjoy reading and traveling. Though I haven't traveled much, I love exploring new cultures and cities.
A memorable volunteering experience at a local soup kitchen sparked my passion for helping others, which was recently reignited by discovering SHARE Charlotte. Their motto, "DO GOOD," inspires me to give back, and I aspire to create events connecting nonprofits with volunteers and sponsors."
