The holiday months of November and December invites people. Thanksgiving kicks off the season with an attitude of thankfulness and instills a desire to give back some of what we have (#GivingTuesdayCLT, anyone?). December helps bring it home with a season of gift-giving and time spent with loved ones that reignites the November giving-back mentality.

It is always encouraging to see local for-profit businesses pairing up to do GOOD for local nonprofit organizations, especially this time of year. 

We are excited to SHARE about the generosity of our friends at 2ULaundry, a local delivery laundry and dry cleaning service in the area, who are supportive of the nonprofit community year-round, but who are doing something special this holiday season.

1 in 59 adults in America are now estimated to be on the autism spectrum.  Most want to work, live independently and pursue their dreams but to some, this can seem impossible due to serious gaps in the social services system after age 21.  That’s where Adult Spectrum Transitions comes in, offering life-changing opportunities for adults on the autism spectrum who may otherwise struggle to find employment, housing or transportation.

On July 4th, America will celebrate it’s 242nd Independence Day, commemorating our country’s adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. 

While many will be celebrating the holiday by donning stars and stripes or watching fireworks in the night sky, it is important that we as a nation remember what we are celebrating- freedom. We are the land of the free, because of the brave.
