Who said volunteering was all work, no play? Galas, 5Ks, and auctions are all key events for some of our local area nonprofits, and if you are good at throwing a party, then you just may be the detail-oriented and creative minded volunteer that an organization needs!

If you are the type of person who loves to help an event come to life by assisting in the planning process, or wants to be sure an event runs smoothly by being present on the day-of an event, there are volunteer opportunities for you in the Charlotte area.

Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation
Event Planner

The Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation is looking for assistance planning an upcoming teen summit. We are looking for someone to provide ideas and incite to out 15 teens running the event. We are open to creative input. This opportunity will need to meet with our teens a few Mondays throughout the spring a summer, but is definitely needs Aug 18-20.

Hands for Holly Fund is committed to assisting as many local families as possible by paying for their uninsured emergency expenses while caring for their critically ill or injured child. They are in need of someone to work with them to help manage the organization's 3-4 fundraising events throughout the year.

Project2Heal leverages the healing power of dogs to provide physical and emotional healing to those in need and seeks volunteersthatn love to help with managing events. They need general project management help as well as the help of idea people that now how to make events a financial success.

Walk To End Alzheimer's Planning Committee Members

Help the Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolinas Chapter plan its annual Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, Oct. 13 at BB&T Ballpark. Committee members are needed to assist with Team Recruitment, Team Engagement, Logistics, Marketing & Outreach and more.
