Tech Rising "Tech Idea Incubator" Fund 2022 Grantees
Congratulations to the 2022 Grant Winners of the Tech Idea Incubator Fund!
Tech Rising, an initiative led by the AvidXchange Foundation in partnership with 30+ local corporations, strives to bridge the digital divide in Charlotte through strategic engagement with the Center for Digital Equity, as well as other local government, academic and nonprofit partnerships.
The second annual Tech Rising Summit presented by AvidXchange and Equitable Foundation on April 6th brought together these parties to discuss the following:
- Provide an overview of the current state of the Digital Divide in Mecklenburg County, the progress we have made so far and how much further we have to go.
- Examples of effective corporate and nonprofit partnerships that have helped to make an impact in fostering digital inclusion.
- Options for corporate partners to make an impact include device donation, employee volunteer opportunities, funding and matching campaigns.
- Networking opportunities with corporate partners, nonprofits and other organizations focused on the digital divide.
The $5K grants are given to the nonprofits for them to pilot their ideas this summer in the hope that they could become larger initiatives. In September, we will share the results of their work.
2022 Grant winners: Many thanks to the funding partners who made these eight, $5K grants possible: Equitable Foundation, Google Fiber, LendingTree, Duke Energy, Lowe’s, EY, Ally Financial and Corning!
