Duke Energy "Power of Giving" Volunteer Fair
SHARE Charlotte was thrilled to partner with Duke Energy for the second year on their “Power of Giving” Volunteer Fair. This on-campus event creates opportunities for employees to find volunteer opportunities, board positions or other engagement opportunities with the nonprofits that Duke currently supports, as well as meet new organizations.
Duke Energy employees are a critical party of Duke Energy’s commitment to the communities they serve through volunteerism and board service. The time they spend giving back creates more vibrant communities.
This year's fair featured a jazz trio, salsa dancing, live painting, a beautiful owl named Surrey, a rescue pup and 20+ local nonprofits:
- ArtPop
- Trees Charlotte
- Carolina Raptor Center
- Gard House
- Freedom Communities
- Wayfinders
- Heart Math Tutoring
- HELPing Education Fund
