Some call it stories. Others call it a blog. But here you will find nuggets of goodness to use and -- you guessed it -- SHARE!

SHARE From Home to Help Local Nonprofits Now! #SHAREfromHome

SHARE Charlotte has been overwhelmed by the selflessness and generosity of our neighbors, community and corporate partners as we continue to manage a flood of inquiries about how people can do GOOD to support our nonprofit partners during this time of uncertainty.

We are fortunate to live in a world where technology enables us to come together despite being physically apart, and the need to come together in Charlotte to support our nonprofit community has potentially never been greater. If you have something to give, please consider doing so - the organizations serving Charlotte’s most vulnerable need your help.

What’s SHARE Charlotte’s role in this crisis? It’s to do what we do best - connect those who want to help Mecklenburg County's nonprofit community to all the ways they can.

Check back regularly; we will update the below as we learn of more ways you can support our community’s growing list of needs.

←Use this graphic (you can right click and save it!) and the hashtag #SHAREfromHome on social media to show us how you are doing GOOD from your house (other than stopping the spread of germs), and inspire others to do the same!

Do GOOD with your wallet-  give now in response to COVID-19!

If you’d like to give directly to a local nonprofit, consider these organizations who have identified their most pressing current needs.  See how each is impacted and exactly what they need on their respective pages under “What We Do”.

Are you someone who can afford to quickly write a BIG check that will make a HUGE impact in Mecklenburg County? Our community desperately needs you - adopt one of these angel donor initiatives today!  Check back regularly as new angel donor opportunities continue to be added.

Administered by the Foundation for the Carolinas and United Way of Central Carolinas, this fund will award grants to Charlotte nonprofits who are serving those in our community who are most impacted by current events.  Learn more here - thank you to Lending Tree for their incredibly generous $1M gift to kick off this fund!

This fund will help address the needs of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) students and families while schools are closed. Go to cms-foundation.org/donate, and put “Relief” in the notes section of the donation page.

The UNC Charlotte Student Emergency Relief Fund helps current students by providing financial support when they need assistance with unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable emergency expenses, including pandemics.
